I have loved Maribelle’s Eat + Drink, from the very first time I attended Food Fight years ago. What Leigh Enderle and Mike Florea and their team have done to really help shape the Cincinnati culinary scene/industry is more than noteworthy. So as soon as I heard that Scott Fiore (previously under Andrea Solimeo at Ventuno located in Nantucket) teamed up with Maribelle’s to be its new Chef de Cuisine, I just knew he, Mike Florea, and Dylan Jones (whom will be heading to Boomtown Biscuit Bar soon) would definitely be creating magic.
I immediately called Maribelle’s, located in Oakley, to make reservations. My palate was absolutely not going to miss this culinary adventure. Maribelle’s supports local farmers and artisans and more than supplies beautifully orchestrated dishes to its mouth watering devoted patrons, like myself. So with Maribelles’ menu wonderfully changing often, I was excited for the delightful local surprises, one being the QCLC cheese plate and the house made cavatelli.
We started with the Meat + Cheese // QCLC Summer Sausage + My Artisanos Cooper Creek + Crackers
Carried on to the perfect Waygu Sate’ // Shishito Puree + Carriage House Honey + Soy + Scallion + Black sesame + Olive Oil
I completely inhaled the Ricotta House Made Cavatelli // Scheltowee, farm mushroom + black kale + sarveccio
Pig on pig on pig on pig // Berkshire Chop + Duroc Tenderloin + QCLC Bologna+smoked bacon +potato +onion + rosemary (perfectly sourced and cooked, beautiful flavor).
I absolutely recommend making your reservations NOW rather than later, at Maribelle’s Eat + Drink. The entire Maribelle’s team is whipping up pure culinary gold that you won’t want to miss.
